In brief
Online fraud moves faster than a paper complaint. Accounts are frozen, money moves, and the police portal is only the first step. We help victims report and preserve what happened, and we defend people who have been accused.
Discuss this matter
The complaint
The national cyber crime portal, the police, and the sections of the IT Act.
The money
Frozen accounts, and the application that seeks to open them.
Both sides
Representation for victims, and defence for people who are accused.

What clients ask us
Choose a question. The answer sets out the work we actually take in this practice, in plain language.
Answer
The label 'cyber' covers a wide set of crimes. The work starts by naming the offence and saving the messages, logs, and transfers that prove it.
- Online fraud, financial scams, and email fraud
- Hacking, malware, and data breaches
- Cyberstalking, harassment, cyberbullying, and digital defamation
- Account takeover, social-engineering scams, and attacks on a crypto wallet
- Spam, website hijacking, and cyber terrorism
- Offences against children under the information technology law

How do you start a complaint?
Answer
The national portal is the front door. It is not the whole case. A complaint still needs the sections, the evidence, and a court when the harm is continuing.
- Complaints on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal
- Advice on the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the procedure around it
- Injunctions and takedown notices where content has to come down
- Preservation of digital evidence before it is overwritten
Can you defend someone accused of a cyber offence?
Answer
Yes. An accusation built on an IP address, a SIM, or a device is not the same thing as proof of who was using it. The defence is prepared on that distinction.
- Defence in cyber crime prosecutions
- Advice before a statement is given
- Bail and the ordinary criminal applications that follow a cyber FIR
What if a bank account has been frozen?
Answer
Accounts are often frozen because a transfer passed through them, not because the holder committed the fraud. Getting the lien lifted needs the bank's letter, the complaint, and an approach to the right police station or court.
- Applications and representations to unfreeze accounts
- Reading the lien against the transactions that actually hit the account
Do you advise companies, not only individuals?
Answer
A company that holds other people's data has duties before anyone hacks it, and a different set of duties after a breach. We advise on both.
- Cybersecurity compliance and policy
- Data breaches and privacy
- The Indian framework, read against regimes such as the GDPR where a business also operates abroad
The path
How a matter moves
01
Preserve
Messages, URLs, account numbers, and device details are saved before they disappear.
02
Report
The portal complaint and the police papers are filed with the sections that match the facts.
03
Stop the harm
A takedown, an injunction, or a request to lift a freeze is moved while the investigation continues.
04
Court
The victim's case, or the defence, is conducted in the court that has the FIR.

Questions on this practice
The money left my account an hour ago. What is the first call?
The bank and the cyber crime portal, immediately, and then us with the transaction references. Delay is what lets the money move again.
My account was frozen and I did not commit any fraud. Can you help?
Yes. These freezes often follow a transfer that merely passed through the account. Bring the bank's message and the statement. Do not ignore the lien.
Should I hand my phone to the police if I am accused?
Not before you have advice. The device is often the evidence. How it is given, and what is said with it, matters.
Can a post or a video be taken down?
A platform complaint is the first step. A court order is the step that binds. We use both, depending on how fast the harm is spreading.
Do you advise businesses after a data breach?
Yes. The legal questions are who must be told, what must be preserved, and whether the company itself has a compliance exposure.
These answers describe the practice. They are not advice on the facts of your matter.
