In brief
Civil disputes are about rights that can be proved: a contract, a title, a possession, a reputation. We conduct that work for individuals, companies, and public bodies, from the first notice through suit, writ, and appeal.

The brief
What clients ask us
Choose a question. The answer sets out the work we actually take in this practice, in plain language.
Answer
The same procedural care applies whether the client is a person, a company, or a public body. What changes is the forum, the evidence, and the remedy that is actually available.
- Individuals
- Partnerships and companies, including multinational corporations
- Government entities
- Disputes across sectors, not a single industry
Who do you act for in a civil dispute?
Answer
The same procedural care applies whether the client is a person, a company, or a public body. What changes is the forum, the evidence, and the remedy that is actually available.
- Individuals
- Partnerships and companies, including multinational corporations
- Government entities
- Disputes across sectors, not a single industry
What commercial and money claims do you run?
Answer
A commercial suit is the right tool when money is due, a contract has been broken, or the way a business was run has caused a loss. We also sue, and defend, where the promise itself has to be performed.
- Recovery of dues, debts, and damages
- Breach of contract and specific performance
- Partnership and business disputes
- Questions of corporate governance that belong in a civil court
- Money suits and estate recovery
What property disputes do you take?
Answer
Property litigation in this city is rarely only about a sale deed. Possession, boundaries, inheritance, and the right to stop a construction are often the real fight.
- Injunctions and declarations of ownership
- Recovery of possession and eviction
- Partition, boundaries, and title disagreements
- Succession and probate
Do you handle intellectual property in court?
Answer
Yes, when the dispute is about a right that has to be enforced or corrected, not only about a registration sitting on a file.
- Patents, trade marks, copyright, and trade secrets
- Infringement actions
- Rectification of marks
- Patent litigation
What about employment, the environment, and tenders?
Answer
Some civil work sits outside a simple money claim. Workplace wrongs, environmental duties, and a tender that was rejected unfairly each have their own record and their own forum.
- Wrongful termination, harassment, wages, and retaliation
- Land use, pollution control, waste, and regulatory compliance
- Challenges to unfair tender practice, disqualification, or rejection
Which other civil proceedings do you conduct?
Answer
Not every civil wrong is a suit for money in a district court. We also appear where the remedy is a writ, a claim in tort, or a matter on the original side of the High Court.
- Tort claims and civil defamation
- Consumer disputes that travel with a civil brief
- Administrative disputes, including before the Central Administrative Tribunal
- Writ petitions in the High Court
- Suits and arbitration-related civil work on the original side
The path
How a matter moves
01
The claim, stated plainly
We identify the right, the remedy, and the court that can actually grant it.
02
Papers and notice
Pleadings, notices, and the documents that will have to be proved are settled before filing.
03
Interim protection
If possession, money, or a status quo needs holding, that application is made early.
04
Trial and appeal
Evidence is led, the suit is argued, and an appeal is filed where the decree requires it.

Questions on this practice
Should this be a civil suit or a criminal complaint?
Often both questions arise from the same facts. We will tell you which proceeding the facts can support, and which one would be a waste of time.
Can you stop a construction or a sale while the case is pending?
An injunction is possible when the facts and the balance of convenience support it. It is an application of its own, not a consequence of filing the suit.
Do you act for defendants as well as plaintiffs?
Yes. Defending a suit, a writ, or an injunction is as much a part of the practice as bringing one.
How long should I wait before sending a legal notice?
A notice is useful when the demand is clear and the papers support it. Waiting until limitation is close makes the suit harder, not the notice stronger.
Can a matter in a lower court be taken to the High Court?
Yes, by appeal or by writ, depending on the order and the grievance. The route is chosen from the statute, not from preference.
